Last weekend was the Hard Haunted Mansion Festival at The Shrine in Downtown LA. This event featured some of the biggest names in the game over a 2 day period. Staticka Photography shot the first night of the party, where DJ A-Trak featured one of the photos on his site.

Last night Media Contender teamed up with Hard to bring Downtown Los Angeles a very special night of today’s hottest bass music. Just to be certain that message was clear, the Funktion One Sound system was brought in and sent everyone a healthy dose of chest thumps, winning the MVP of the night. Skeet Skeet was on the decks when I arrived, dropping 4-beat weight and leading into Dubstep. It was then time for Rusko to headline the event with an impressive live set that included him on the bass guitar, Akai MPD32 (controlling Ableton Live) and keyboard, while Rod Azlan kept the rhythms fresh on the microphone. Our boy 12th Planet followed that by absolutely smashing the place down, swinging away and hitting a home run combo of Dubstep and B-More. And it wasn’t just the performers who brought their A-games, the crowd was in full effect and absolutely lively! Thanks go to all who made it out!

Night one of the three week House shooting. Produced by 1107 Events, this 2-room Friday night has become a good time for all in attendance, with the residents getting just as much love as the special guests. Now that’s what I like to see.

Four of Southern California’s biggest dance clubs came together for one massive all ages event- 4 The Massive. Held at The Hudson/Gotham in San Bernardino, it was the combination of a couple outgoing friends, hipster kids and ravers that made it a memorable evening for me. Big thanks go out to 1107 Events for putting together a great night of music.

Hey all, I’ve got some great news! My good friend/partner Lonnie Thompson and his team are putting on an art show and not only will Shame On You be playing, but my photography will also be displayed. That’s right, Staticka’s first group exhibition! Here’s the copy for the event, hopefully you can join us…

Appropriately, the first major event produced by Thompson Creative is VISION: a multi-media celebration of art and music. VISION is an intense dose of what everyone needs right now: inspiration, beauty, and positive high-energy people. The artists who have already signed on are all exceptionally talented individuals, it’s going to be a thrill seeing everything come together at the event. Stay tuned for updates!
