Waves At Night, Inspiring Blog Design

Searching for new music today at the ever-so-awesome Hype Machine, I came across one of the cleanest, most inspiring blog designs my eyes have seen in days. Waves At Night showcases an intriguing collage-style frame, leaving ample room for comfortably spaced black text on a white background. Classy, arresting, simple.

Kudos to the designer for not only a great blog to look at, but also to the authors for keeping up on such paramount music of our times.

Maldini (BCUK) and Gridlok Live at Muse

During the Summer of ‘07 we had Maldini of BCUK through Muse to play a special All Bad Company Set. His performance was completely bananas and thankfully Erik Forssell was there to capture a couple golden moments- the intro and the last mix.

Earlier that evening, Circuit started things off, leading way for Gridlok to get inside our heads with the neurotic bass. All-in-all, the night was a 10/10.

Sucio’s Mashup: Mylo vs. Prince

While compiling a mix one day I came up with a mashup that I felt worked quite well. I bounced it out solo, gave it a bit of work and play the end result as often as possible. I’ve got to humbly admit, despite its lack of mastering, it works quite well in most situations. Hope you enjoy.

I messed around with Fruity Loops and Reason years ago and came up with a few solo D&B tracks. None of them were mastered or created with the intent of being signed, but it was still fun to try out this form of expression. Look for proper production to come in the future with my long-time friend and partner, Ryan Origin, under the nefarious name Kuru.
